Welcome To Cadettes Extravaganza!

Come one and all to the Welcome To Cadettes Extravaganza! This Sunday afternoon event at Camp Bothin is perfect for 5th graders (rising Cadettes) as well as their adults and leaders too!

With fun rotations led by older girl scouts, come and find out about all the awesome opportunities that come with being an Older Girl Scout!

We’ll have opportunities to do some of your favorite Girl Scout crafts like tie-dye, friendship bracelets, and lip balm making, plus some outdoors and adventure fun like scavenger hunt hikes and archery, and delicious snacks at our gourmet s’mores bar!

Ever thought of traveling with Girl Scouts, getting a Silver or Gold award, or becoming a camp counselor? We will have a panel discussion with older scouts who have done many of these things as well as an expo with representatives from our older Girl Scout committees and interest groups ready to answer your questions and show you how you can get involved. This will give you a chance to meet an older scout to help you navigate your experience in Cadettes and make the most of it!

The adult track will consist of hearing from our keynote speakers, as well as a “Get Ready to Relax” session which is where we talk about transitioning to leading/parenting middle schoolers while treating ourselves to some pampering and relaxation. The adult track will end with the opportunity to join your Girl Scout(s) for crafts or an outdoor activity.

At the end of the event, you’ll be invited to take home your crafts as well as some exciting goodies to fuel your older girl experience!

$5 per youth, $5 per adult.

More clarifying details:

The day will have keynote speakers and then two 30-min rotations which have been predetermined.  The 3rd and final rotation (1-hour) will be the time slot for either archery, scavenger hunt hike, or crafts.  You will only get to select one of those activities. Both girls and adults will get to sign-up and participate in one of the three options for the final rotation.  Adults are not required to sign up for the same activity as their Girl Scout(s).

This is a drop off event if adults do not wish to attend, but we welcome any interested adults to join us!
