| Calling all JUNIOR Girl Scouts! Girls from all Troops, Service Units, and Councils are invited! Girl Scout Juliettes are invited and encouraged to join us as well!Girl Scout Brownies advancing to 4th grade this fall are also invited.) Northern California Girl Scout Troop 11302 invites you to join us for this council-approved event: Girl Scout Junior OUTDOOR JOURNEY This Camp Outside the Box virtual event offered via Zoom will be held on May 31, 2025 at 11:00 PDT (Pacific Daylight Time.) will be Girl Led: Girl Scout Troop 11302 will host the entire event and lead the entire program. Girls are invited to join us as we share Girl Scout spirit, fun, and our love of the great outdoors! Attending Juniors will: • Complete the steps and earn all three badges which complete the Junior OUTDOOR JOURNEY: Animal Habitats, Camper, and Eco-Camper badges. • Discuss Take Action projects; this will include what they are, what the requirements are, how to create one, and more. Examples will be shared. Girls will have to complete the Take Action project on their own following the event. • Have a wonderful time!!! Important: 1. The completion of a Junior Journey is a prerequisite to starting the Bronze Award Project. The Bronze Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can earn. 2. The Junior Outdoor Journey is a National Leadership Journey; three completed National Leadership Journeys & Take Action Projects = SUMMIT AWARD. 3. Girls can earn a Summit Level at each Girl Scout level; behind the Bronze Award, the Summit Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can earn. 4. Girls can participate in this event before, during, or after a camping experience; the Girl Scout outdoor progression chart will be discussed. Event details: Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025 Start time: 11AM-3PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) What is Pacific Daylight Time: https://www.timeanddate.com/time/zones/pdt Cost: $20 per girl Deadline: Please register prior to the day before the event. Printables, a materials list, and a Zoom link will be provided one week prior to the event; badges will NOT be provided and must be purchased through the Girl Scout Shop. This event will be recorded; all registrants will get a copy of the recording following the event. If your GS can’t make the above indicated day or time, she can register, and she can complete the requirements on her own time. Do not allow your GS to share her photo, name or likeness if she doesn’t want them recorded and shared. No refunds. Thank you for helping support our troop as we earn money for travel!
