Video games are fun but have you ever played a game where you were completely immersed in a new world? Come try virtual reality (VR) and experience multiple games and creative experiences that are entirely in a 3D virtual world! We will be using the HTC Vive system and will play games like Beat Saber, Tilt Brush, The Lab, HoloBall, Job Simulator, Google Earth, Walk on Mars and more!
Your troop may sign up for an hour or half hour time slot to take turns trying the games. For an hour we recommend bringing 5 or 6 participants which would allow for 10-12 minutes each – please plan accordingly with how many participants you bring.
If you are coming alone (1 participant), let us know and we can find a 10-minute time slot for you.
Come see the power of STEM and coding first hand! Many of these games were coded in a software called Unity. This is also an awesome opportunity to consider what information and skills can be taught and practiced through VR and what role VR might play in the future of education and other industries.
Sunday, March 5th, San Jose Office, time slots from 12:30pm-5pm
JCSA, $8 per person
