Join us Thursday, April 8th at 7PM for a Girl Scout free virtual event to celebrate NASA’s OSIRIX-REx flyby of asteroid Bennu and learn from a NASA Robotics expert about coding a robot sample collection for Mars!
Open to any girls interested in Girl Scouting; current scouts are encouraged to invite their friends. Register here.
This free virtual event will be about 2 hours long. It will start with a review of the April 7th NASA flyby of Bennu and end with a Q&A session with GS Mountain View Leader and NASA Ames Intelligent Robotics Group Engineer DW Wheeler. The core of the event will be learning to code in Scratch to direct a rover to collect samples on Mars from a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory program.
