Out-of-Council Girl Scout Youth Participant Fees (non-GSNorCal Member):
Interested in expanding your leadership and communication skills? Take part in this year’s Lead the Way Event. Lead the Way is a leadership training conference designed to strengthen self-confidence and leadership skills to help improve your ability to succeed in school, the community, and life after high school! We aim to bring more awareness to current events, emphasizing YOUR voice and the differences you can make.
This is a three-day, overnight conference and Girl Scouts are expected to stay the for the entire event after arriving. Friday night is all about checking-in, receiving important information, and getting to know other Girl Scouts through recreation activities. On Saturday, Girl Scouts will participate in workshop sessions, eat lunch on their own, attend more recreation activities, and enjoy a fancy catered dinner with a keynote speaker. On Sunday Girl Scouts will attend their final workshops, celebrate the youth organizers and graduating senior participants, and check-out.
Please note: This is a drop-off event; Girl Scouts may not attend with a parent/guardian. We have dedicated Girl Scouts staff and registered/screened volunteers onsite at all times to chaperone youth. Girl Scouts will be in rooms of 3-4, with other youth only. Adult chaperones conduct bed checks and are available in the event of an emergency but sleep in their own rooms. We do our very best to accommodate roommate requests and can usually do so, but cannot make any guarantees upfront. Bed-sharing with 1 other Girl Scout may be required.
This registration will collect important information relevant to the Girl Scout‘s participation in the event. If a troop leader or other adult who is not the legal guardian of a given Girl Scout is filling out the registration form, this information will need to have been collected from a guardian in advance. Due to hotel requirements, late registrations will not be permitted. The last day to register will be 01/12/2024.
Financial Aid is available to GSNorCal Girl Members for this program. You will have the opportunity to request financial aid in this form.
Program fee includes: A 2-night stay at a hotel (check in Friday, check out Sunday), 3 meals (Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast), 20+ workshop offerings, networking, and recreational activities. Lead the Way pin and certificate also included.
