Science is all around us! Brownies begin by making raisins and pepper dance using the amazing properties of density and electricity. Next, they become kitchen chemists and use pantry items to experiment with delicious treats and inflate a balloon without using breath. Finally, Brownies will learn how science can be used to make toys — in this case, their very own silly putty!

Girls earn the Home Scientist Badge.  Includes badge, museum admission, and a Tech Interactive fun patch!

Chaperone information: When you bring your Girl Scout to a badge program at The Tech Interactive, you can purchase yourself a ticket at the discounted rate of $20 (or $24  for the Robo-Designer programs, which includes an IMAX).

Ticket includes general admission, but it does not guarantee access to the classroom. In line with Girl Scout rules, only adults authorized by GSNorCal (troop leaders or troop parents) will be allowed in the classroom (space is limited to accommodate girls first). The Tech Interactive uses chaperone ratios required by GSNorCal.
