Title: Eelgrass Habitat in the San Diego Bay: An Underwater Wonder –Grades 5-6
Description: Join us for this special Girl Scouts Love State Parks virtual fieldtrip at Silver Strand State Beach. In this program, students will learn about how the eelgrass habitat in San Diego Bay provides a number of benefits to the bay ecosystem and is also a foundational habitat for species both in and out of water. We will talk about several species in the bay such as the endangered Eastern Pacific green sea turtle and the migrating Brant geese, and their reliance on healthy eelgrass habitats.
