2025 World Thinking Day Badge Event (virtual)

Your Girl Scout is invited to join us for a virtual 2025 World Thinking Day Badge Event and celebrate our global sisterhood and international friendship together! Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador scouts from all troops, service units, and councils are invited.

The World Thinking Day Award is one of the most important Girl Scout badges and a fun and favorite to earn. February 22nd is the official World Thinking Day holiday. On this day, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day; it has been celebrated since 1926. It’s a day of international friendship and a time to stand up for causes that could improve the lives of girls around the globe. And while the holiday comes in February, the World Thinking Day Award can be earned any time of year.

World Thinking Day has a different theme each year. In 2025, the theme is “Our Story: Reflecting the Symbolism and values of Our Movement”

During this virtual event hosted over Zoom, participants will earn their official 2025 World Thinking Day Award. (This is a front of the vest award.) This event will be 100% Girl Led; your scout may join Girl Scout Troop 11302 as they lead the entire program. They will bring Girl Scout spirit, fun, and their love of sharing Girl Scout traditions with younger scouts.

Your Girl Scout will:

· Explore World Thinking Day

· Experience World Thinking Day with purpose

· Investigate this year’s World Thinking Day Theme

· Share what we’ve learned and commit to a better future.

· Share Girl Scout traditions & spirit!

· Have a wonderful time!!!

Important:

There is a unique World Thinking Day for each year. This allows your Girl Scout to earn this special award each year so she can learn about the annual theme and participate in the annual activities while earning this important front-of-the-vest award.

Event details:

Date: Monday, February 17, 2025 (President’s Day)

Start time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Cost: $15 per attendee

Deadline to register: The day before the event, however, to be best prepared we encourage folks to register at least one week before have time to print out the provided printable and collect the items from the materials list. The pre-event purchase packet will be sent out one week before the event; please check your spam folder.

This event will be recorded and all registrants will get a copy of the event recording; girls who have scheduling conflicts may participate at a later date and time. If your GS doesn’t want her image or likeness shared, she may participate with the zoom camera off.

In order to comply with safety checkpoints, a safe adult must be present the entire time. A microwave will be required. Badges will NOT be provided and must be purchased separately.
